I am Joy A. Truby, Senior Loan Officer, with AmeriFund Mortgage Services, LLC (formerly known as Chesapeake Mortgage Consultants, Inc.) My office is located in Laurel, Maryland. I have been a loan officer since July 1, 1986. Since the start of my career I have closed a minimum of $12 million per year.  In 2003, I closed over  $24.5 million. In 2004 & 2005, I closed over 13 million.

I am also a licensed Realtor and have been since January 1979.  I no longer sell real estate, but I believe it helps me to be a better Lender. I am up to date with changes in the industry, not only as a Lender but also as a Realtor.  Prior to embarking on my sales career in Real Estate, I was a bookkeeper for a large law firm in Washington, D.C. for eleven years.

I attend 98% of my closings.  Sometimes it’s too difficult to be in more than one place at a time and the end of the month becomes very hectic. Attending settlements is a beneficial way for me to keep up with the rising cost of the settlement procedures.
